Mentoring Program
PALH is establishing it's mentoring program for
2009!
In order to better support our students, PALH is
matching second year students with currently
practicing PAs. Mentors can answer
questions, listen, give advice and ease the
transition between eager and nervous student to
that of a caring and competent PA.
Mentors will be matched to one second-year
student member. The mentor should be available
to communicate with the student via telephone or
email approximately once a month or whenever
concerns regarding PA related issues such as
CME, malpractice, state laws, specialties, etc
arise. Matches are made by geographic location
and specialty whenever possible. The
relationship officially lasts until the student
has successfully begun working as PA,
approximately a year and a half. Of course the
relationship continues as colleagues after that!
